Each feed is worth well over what that food is normally worth, so bring the best thing it eats rather than berries. It throws you off somewhere between seven and forty-six seconds whatever you do, and being thrown costs a quarter of the progress you have built and makes it hostile, so feed on every prompt and get straight back on.
