Give your Paras the freedom to rent a home without needing to purchase one first! Rental Housing introduces a complete tenant experience for households that are starting out, saving money, or simply prefer the flexibility of renting. Choose which vacant homes are available for rent, pay a deposit based on the included furnishings, and receive a clear weekly rent charge through the regular household bills. Tenants can still make the home feel like their own by adding furniture, decorations, lighting, electronics, plants, curtains, blinds, and many other catalogue items. Major structural changes on build items remain protected, but you can still customize colors and textures. Tenants cannot rebuild, hammer or resize permanent structural build features, bulldoze the lot, or reset the rental property while rented. When the household is ready to leave, the rental agreement can be ended directly from the lot. The final rent is settled, the value of the movable belongings is returned, and those furnishings remain with the property—ready to be included in the deposit for its next residents. Rental Housing is fully compatible with Para Bank Plus. If a household sells its current home before moving into a rental, any remaining mortgage principal is automatically paid from the available money. No additional future interest is charged, and if the household cannot cover the full remaining debt, Para Bank forgives the unpaid balance so they can begin their new chapter. Please note: this mod focuses on living as a tenant. It does not add landlord gameplay, property investment, or the ability to purchase homes and collect rent from other households.
