The Ding, The Protector and The Trailrat are owned from the start. The other 18 vehicles are each the reward of one challenge trail; the vehicle pages name the trail and its area.

Pebbles come from extracting meteorites, reaching crates, most cabins and the Mechanic of each area for the first time, viewing scenic points, finishing challenge trails and item recoveries, and photographing an animal species for the first time.

The first stage bought of an upgrade costs 25 Pebbles and the next 50; winch and tool slot have a third at 75. Each stage is bought at the Mechanic for one vehicle and needs the stage before it on that vehicle.

Each special livery unlocks after driving a set distance with its vehicle, from 50 to 300 km. Regular liveries cost nothing at the Mechanic.

5 areas in 2 regions: The Valhallas - Canada (Emerald Lake, Gimli Ridge, Asgard Mountain); Algeria (Tassili n'Ajjer Desert, Aurès Mountains). Reaching an area's exit portal opens the next one.

Larger meteorites need more players to extract: Large 2, Very large 2, Huge 3, Very huge 4. Which sizes fall depends on the number of players in the session.

Both. Single Player, or online rooms for up to 4 players. A room is public or private and can be joined with a 6-character code, and the host can kick players. The tutorial is single player only.

5 areas in 2 regions, each 4 x 4 km of terrain, so 80 km² in all. Each area is its own map, joined to the next one by a portal, and inside an area you can drive anywhere.

No fuel, but vehicles take damage: from 70% on they slow down, to half their speed limit at full damage. A reached cabin's camping area, the Mechanic and the Repair kit tool repair a vehicle fully; a camp set up with the Camp tool repairs 25 of the 100 damage points.
