How many animals are there in Outbound?
34, added in the Wildlife Update. The journal splits them by biome: Starting Level 12, Pacific Coast 8, Canyons 7, Mountains 7.
How do you get the camera in Outbound?
The Photo Camera blueprint is a download in the Starting Level, and the camera itself is crafted from 3x Scrap Metal.
Why does a photo not count?
The animal has to fill a minimum share of the frame before the shot registers, and the bar is set per species. Each species page lists its own, so zoom in or get closer if a picture will not log.
