バイソンはARK: Survival Ascendedの地上に生息する草食動物で、資源収集と荷物運びの両方で活躍するマルチタスクな存在だ。ノックアウトで調教する（最適なフードはスーパークイブル）ことで、この草食動物は650のベースウェイトで登場し、非常に大きな荷物運びの性能を提供する。妊娠期間後に生産し、子供は長期間かけて成長する。調教後、バイソンは革や生肉、生プレミアム肉などの素材を、多くのプレイヤーのツールよりも効率よく収集してくれる。プレイヤーは初期の乗り物を越えて信頼できる作業馬が必要なときにバイソンを狙うことが多い。
