Stamina sits at 420 base, providing respectable staying power. Its base Melee Damage sits at 105%, giving it decent hitting power. The X-rex has 1,067 base Health - solidly tanky. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it excellent carrying capacity.

To tame the X-rex, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

As a tame, the X-rex earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 32°C–34°C temperature window. A wild X-rex is worth 30 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.

The table shows how many sedatives you'll need to keep the X-rex unconscious through the full taming duration. Your options are Narcotics (40 Torpor), Bio Toxin (80 Torpor, best efficiency), or Narcoberries (7.5 Torpor, cheapest but slowest). The X-rex bleeds 0.73 Torpor/s, so keep a close eye on the bar and sedate early.

Knock the X-rex unconscious using your preferred torpor weapon, then feed it to begin the taming process. Torpor bleeds at 0.73/s, requiring regular sedative application to prevent a premature wakeup.

The table below shows how many hits from each torpor weapon are needed to knock out the X-rex at different levels. Wait between shots for torpor to tick up. Firing too fast can kill the creature before it goes down.

To simplify the knockout, immobilize the X-rex first with Chain Bola or Bear Trap. A Tusoteuthis can also pick it up and drop it into a taming pen for a controlled knockout.
