You gotta knock it out before taming it. Tranquilizers are the way to go. Basic Kibble is the best food for taming, giving the most affinity per bite.

After you tame it, the SIR-5rM8 becomes a living shield - perfect for tanking aggro in tough spots. You can clone it at a Cloning Chamber for 0 Element plus 0 Element per level.
