Instead of laying eggs, the Mosasauro carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.

After hatching or birth, the baby Mosasauro matures over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game, reaching adulthood in about 7 days and 17 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Maturation three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1111 min and needs constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~74h - now can eat from a Trough. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~93h - continues eating from troughs, almost full size.

Imprint bonuses are big: a fully imprinted Mosasauro gets 30% extra damage and damage resistance while rider is mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

The Mosasauro, a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is well-known across multiple maps. It belongs to the Water category.

Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Mosasauro brings decent hitting power to the table. At 3,600 base HP, the Mosasauro is extraordinarily tanky. With 400 base Stamina, the Mosasauro has solid stamina reserves. A base Weight of 1300 means excellent carrying capacity.

You'll need to knock the Mosasauro unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

As a tame, the Mosasauro provides safe and efficient underwater traversal with good utility. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 15 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.88 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
