The Parasaure-X reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 24°C and 28°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The baby Parasaure-X takes approximately 1 day and 2 hours to fully mature at default rates - over a lengthy period. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Planning a mass raise? The Parasaure-X raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~159 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Parasaure-X babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Parasaure-X as a tamable, herbivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.
Its base Stamina of 450 gives it good endurance. Its base Melee Damage sits at 105%, giving it solid damage output. Health-wise, the Parasaure-X sits at 194 base, making it relatively fragile. It carries 480 base Weight - generous inventory space.
To tame the Parasaure-X, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Basic Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
Once tamed, the Parasaure-X is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 24°C–28°C temperature window. Killing a wild Parasaure-X yields 1 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.14 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
Raising a baby Parasaure-X involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~159 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~11h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~13h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Parasaure-X's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
