Yi Ling
Breeding the Yi Ling produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 38°C and 42°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 59 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby Yi Ling matures slowly, reaching adulthood in about 1 day and 22 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~278 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~23h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Yi Ling gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Yi Ling babies through all three growth stages. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~278 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Yi Ling raises by totaling food across all babies. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Yi Ling is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Wall Runner category.
Its base Stamina of 300 gives it moderate endurance. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. At 325 base HP, the Yi Ling is reasonably durable. It carries 140 base Weight - average weight tolerance.
The Yi Ling is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
As a tame, the Yi Ling is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 38°C–42°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 18 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.26 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
