Breeding produces live offspring - no egg management needed. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~4 days and 19 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Raising a baby X-Basilosaurus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~694 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~46h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~58h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the X-Basilosaurus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The X-Basilosaurus is a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Variant classification.

Stamina sits at 300 base, providing decent staying power. Melee starts at 105% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 2,328 base Health, the X-Basilosaurus is extremely durable. It carries 700 base Weight - massive inventory space.

Taming the X-Basilosaurus doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Exceptional Kibble.

After taming, the X-Basilosaurus is well-suited for deep-sea exploration, cave diving, and ocean resource runs. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. A wild X-Basilosaurus is worth 15 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.75 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
