Overview
VR Astrodelphis is a flying carnivore variant tamed through knockout. It excels in combat due to its heightened vulnerability to instant damage effects and projectile attacks. This makes it a high-risk, high-reward mount in offensive scenarios where its damage sensitivities can be managed.
It can be immobilized using a Chain Bola, Bear Trap, or Large Bear Trap before taming.
Spawn Locations
VR Astrodelphis does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
VR Astrodelphis must be knocked out before taming. The best food is Superior Kibble, which provides the fastest taming effectiveness. Raw Mutton also works well, offering nearly half the affinity of Superior Kibble.
Use a Bow or Crossbow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it safely. A Chain Bola helps prevent escape. The process takes about 162 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Damage Resistances
VR Astrodelphis has a strong weakness to instant damage effects, taking +120% more damage from them. This makes it highly vulnerable to traps and instant-hit mechanics. It also takes +50% more damage from projectiles and explosions. Conversely, it is highly resistant to Mining Drill Harvest, taking -100% damage. Focus on ranged or explosive damage to exploit its vulnerabilities.
