VR Astrodelphis Egg & Breeding Calculator

The VR Astrodelphis gives live birth after mating, skipping the egg-incubation step entirely. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~2 days and 6 hours (1x rate), progressing requiring significant patience. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~327 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~22h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~27h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the VR Astrodelphis's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The VR Astrodelphis is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.

Starting at 325 Health, it's reasonably durable. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. Stamina sits at 250 base, providing moderate endurance. Weight capacity starts at 280, giving it a solid weight pool.

The VR Astrodelphis is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Superior Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.

Once tamed, the VR Astrodelphis is a versatile flyer useful for scouting, traversal, and light transport. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild VR Astrodelphis yields 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.67 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
