Thorny Dragon Spawn Command Generator

Generate spawn commands for the Thorny Dragon below - customize level, tame status, and variant. Multiple variants are available - use the selector to pick the version you want.

ARK supports several command types: "Summon" spawns a random-level creature at your crosshair, "SpawnDino" lets you set coordinates and level, and "GMSummon" spawns a force-tamed creature. GMSummon is the most convenient for getting a tamed Thorny Dragon immediately. Open the admin console with Tab (PC) or through the pause menu on console. Admin privileges are required.

Spawn Wild Thorny Dragon

Summon spawns a wild Thorny Dragon.

Spawn Wild Thorny Dragon at level

SpawnDino spawns a wild Thorny Dragon at level 150.

Spawn Tamed Thorny Dragon

GMSummon spawns a tamed Thorny Dragon at level 150.

Spawn Thorny Dragon Saddle

GiveItem spawns the saddle directly into your inventory.

Thorny Dragon Saddle

Spawn Tamed Thorny Dragon + Saddle

Paste both commands in order - first spawns a tamed Thorny Dragon at level 150, then gives you the saddle.

Tame Wild Thorny Dragon

ForceTame tames any dinosaur and makes it rideable without a saddle, and DoTame only tames tamable creatures.
Both tame the creature you are currently looking at.

Add Experience to Thorny Dragon

AddExperience levels up the dino you are riding and GiveExpToTarget levels up the creature/player your are looking at.

Kill Target

Kills the creature or player you are currently looking at.

Take All Dinos

Transfers ownership of all dinosaurs belonging to the targeted player or tribe to your current tribe. You must be looking at a dino owned by the target player/tribe.

The Thorny Dragon, a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a notable presence across multiple maps. It falls within the Misc classification.

Stamina sits at 350 base, providing respectable staying power. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Thorny Dragon has solid damage output. Starting at 260 Health, it's not particularly tanky. It carries 300 base Weight - generous inventory space.

Taming the Thorny Dragon requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Regular Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.

After taming, the Thorny Dragon earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 22°C and 28°C. A wild Thorny Dragon is worth 6 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.48 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
