The Tek Triceratops is a rare variant of the Triceratops, distinguished by its advanced Tek biology and herbivorous diet. It excels at harvesting a wide variety of plant-based resources at highly increased rates, making it a premier gatherer for plant nodes and rare flora. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across long distances.
The Tek Triceratops spawns exclusively in lunar biomes, appearing on only 1 ARK map. It is classified as rare, meaning sightings are infrequent and concentrated in specific zones. Check the spawn map for precise location indicators.

Taming a Tek Triceratops requires a knockout method. The best food is Simple Kibble, which provides the fastest taming effectiveness. Mejoberry can also be used if kibble is unavailable, though it is significantly slower. Use a Bow with Tranq Arrows or immobilize it with a Chain Bola to begin the process. The taming takes around 20 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Tek Triceratops yields Scrap Metal, Electronics, Oil, and Element Dust. The Pick is the best tool for maximizing yields of all these resources.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
While ridden, the Tek Triceratops gathers from a wide range of categories including berries, mushrooms, seeds, wood, and thatch. Its primary attack harvests up to 10× the normal yield of resources such as Mejoberry, Bio Toxin, Cementing Paste, Citronal, and Rare Flower. This makes it exceptionally efficient for farming rare consumables and crafting ingredients.
The Tek Triceratops is highly resistant to fire damage, taking -60% less from fire-based sources. It is especially vulnerable to explosive and spike wall damage, which deal +50% and +100% more damage respectively. Exploit these weaknesses when defending or attacking. Level Health and Melee Damage.
