Tek Quetzal Abilities

ARK: Survival Ascended features the Tek Quetzal as a tamable, flying, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.

Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it decent hitting power. Health-wise, the Tek Quetzal sits at 1,200 base, making it extremely durable. Its base Stamina of 800 gives it outstanding staying power. It carries 800 base Weight - massive inventory space.

To tame the Tek Quetzal, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Exceptional Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.

After taming, the Tek Quetzal is prized as a flying transport, capable of hauling large inventories over long distances. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 5°C–6°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 18 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.98 Element plus 0.1 Element per level.
