The Tapejara is a knockout tame - render it unconscious with torpor weapons like Tranq Arrows or Shocking Tranq Darts, then feed it while it's down. Torpor bleeds at 0.1/s, requiring regular sedative application to prevent a premature wakeup.

Required Narcotics
The table shows how many sedatives you'll need to keep the Tapejara unconscious through the full taming duration. Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. At 0.1 Torpor drain per second, apply narcotics proactively - a wakeup mid-tame wastes everything.
Starve & Torpor Timers
Use the torpor and starve timers to track your Tapejara tame in real time. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.
