Overview
Tapejara is a rare flyer carnivore known for its ability to carry small creatures while airborne. It can airlift smaller mounts such as Bloated Revenant, Bulbdog, Bunny Dodo, or Cat in its claws. This makes it a valuable transport and scouting mount for moving creatures across long distances or difficult terrain.
Spawn Locations
20 mapsTapejara spawns in city, desert mountain, forest, jungle, mountain, oasis, and wasteland biomes. It is rare and appears across 20 ARK maps. Look for it flying at high altitudes, especially near cliffs and elevated terrain.

Tapejara must be knocked out to be tamed. Use a Bola, Chain Bola, or Bear Trap to immobilize it first. The best food is Superior Kibble, which tames it fastest. Raw Mutton also works if Superior Kibble is unavailable. It takes about 47 minutes to tame with 11 kibble. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources
Killing a Tapejara yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick favours Raw Meat.

Damage Resistances
