Sabertooth Egg & Breeding Calculator

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~2 days (1x rate), progressing slowly. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.
Juvenile

9:44:47
The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.
Adolescent

12:10:59
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

The Sabertooth's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~292 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~24h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Sabertooth gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Sabertooth babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~292 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Sabertooth babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Sabertooth is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Misc category.

Its base Stamina of 200 gives it average stamina. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Sabertooth brings decent hitting power to the table. At 250 base HP, the Sabertooth is relatively fragile. Weight capacity starts at 200, giving it a reasonable inventory size.

Taming the Sabertooth requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.

After taming, the Sabertooth is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Defeating one in the wild grants 5 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.48 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
