Rex Overview
Survivors looking at Rex in ARK: Survival Ascended will find a land-based carnivore that is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Tamed via knockout taming (Exceptional Kibble is the optimal food), this carnivore enters service with 500 base Weight, providing massive inventory space. Breeding pairs lay fertilized eggs requiring 32°C–34°C incubation, after which juveniles reach adulthood over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. Survivors lean on it to gather Hide, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat at much higher rates than hand tools. Players target Rex once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
