R-Brontosaurus Egg & Breeding Calculator

The R-Brontosaurus reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 28°C and 31°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

The baby R-Brontosaurus takes approximately 3 days and 20 hours to fully mature at default rates - over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.
Juvenile

37:02:13
The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.
Adolescent
50% - 100%
46:17:46
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted R-Brontosaurus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Planning a mass raise? The R-Brontosaurus raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~556 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.

Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple R-Brontosaurus babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The R-Brontosaurus is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.

Starting at 2,209 Health, it's a proper tank. Melee starts at 105% - decent hitting power that scales with level-ups. Stamina sits at 240 base, providing moderate endurance. It carries 1600 base Weight - an enormous weight pool.

The R-Brontosaurus is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

Once tamed, the R-Brontosaurus pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 28°C–31°C temperature window. Killing a wild R-Brontosaurus yields 22 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.79 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
