Overview
The R-Brontosaurus is a massive herbivore variant from Genesis: Part 2, featuring +5% Melee Damage but -3% Health compared to the standard Brontosaurus. It excels at gathering a wide range of plant-based resources quickly while ridden. This makes it a top-tier farm mount for efficient harvesting of Berries, Seeds, Fiber, and Wood across large areas.
Spawn Locations
R-Brontosaurus does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
R-Brontosaurus must be knocked out before taming. Use Bear Trap or Large Bear Trap to immobilize it, or apply Plant Species Y. Sedate with Tranq Arrow from a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow, or use Tranquilizer Dart from a Longneck Rifle. The best food is Exceptional Kibble, which yields the fastest tame. Mejoberry works in a pinch. The process takes about 55 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources
Killing an R-Brontosaurus yields Sauropod Vertebra, Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet harvests the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat. Use a Dino that specializes in Prime harvests for Raw Prime Meat.

Its melee attack harvests at 10× efficiency from resources like Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Stimberry, Rare Flower, and Wood. It also gathers Cactus Sap and Fiber at 8×. This broad range makes it ideal for large-scale crop and resource farming.
Damage Resistances
The R-Brontosaurus takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making them extremely effective for defense. It also suffers +120% damage from Instant HurtDinos and +55% from metal melee attacks. Conversely, it resists piercing projectiles by 50% and small turret fire by 50%. Avoid placing it near spike traps during combat.
