Plesiosaur Egg & Breeding Calculator

The baby Plesiosaur takes approximately 4 days and 19 hours to fully mature at default rates - over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.

The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~694 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~46h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~58h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Plesiosaur's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Plesiosaur babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~694 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Plesiosaur babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Plesiosaur is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Water group.

With 100% base Melee Damage, the Plesiosaur has decent hitting power. At 2,400 base HP, the Plesiosaur is extremely durable. With 800 base Stamina, the Plesiosaur has exceptional endurance. A base Weight of 800 means an enormous weight pool.

You'll need to knock the Plesiosaur unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Superior Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

Once tamed, the Plesiosaur pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. Defeating one in the wild grants 15 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.42 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
