Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Phoenix babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~327 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Phoenix babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Phoenix reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 80°C and 90°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 0 minutes.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~2 days and 6 hours (1x rate), progressing over a lengthy period. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~327 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~22h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~27h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Phoenix's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Phoenix is a tamable, flying, minerals creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Flyer classification.
With 100% base Melee Damage, the Phoenix has decent hitting power. The Phoenix has 640 base Health - solidly tanky. Stamina sits at 352 base, providing good endurance. Weight capacity starts at 324, giving it a solid weight pool.
Taming the Phoenix doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Flame Arrow (200% Damage Bow).
After taming, the Phoenix is a versatile flyer useful for scouting, traversal, and light transport. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 80°C and 90°C. A wild Phoenix is worth 3 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.82 Element plus 0.04 Element per level.
