Phiomia is a small herbivore used primarily as a farming utility mount. It excels at harvesting plant-based resources while being carried by larger creatures for rapid deployment. It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis to reach distant farms quickly.
Players typically tame Phiomia to automate large-scale berry and seed collection with minimal effort.
Phiomia spawns commonly across 20 ARK maps. It inhabits diverse environments including cities, forests, grasslands, jungles, snowy regions, and swamps. Look for it in open zones where vegetation is dense, as these areas tend to have higher spawn concentrations.

Phiomia must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola, Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it first. Then sedate it with Tranq Arrows from a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow, or use a Longneck Rifle with Tranquilizer Darts.
Feed it Basic Kibble for the fastest taming. Mejoberry works as a fallback. The process takes about 5 minutes and requires no Narcotics at level 150 on official rates. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Phiomia yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat harvest.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
While mounted, Phiomia gathers using its melee attack. It harvests Berries, Seeds, Mushrooms, Rare Flowers, Rare Mushrooms, Cactus Sap, Fiber, and Wood. Each of these resources receives a 10× bonus, except Cactus Sap and Fiber which get 8×. Notable high-multiplier resources include Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Stimberry, Rare Flower, and Wood.
Phiomia has a strong resistance to fire, taking -60% less damage from fire-based attacks. It is highly vulnerable to instant-damage traps and spike walls, suffering +120% and +100% more damage respectively. Metal melee attacks also deal +55% bonus damage. Avoid fire-heavy defenses when using it in combat zones.

Phiomia gathers Berries and Seeds at 10× efficiency, making it ideal for large-scale farms. It also harvests Rare Flower and Rare Mushroom at the same high rate. Its small size allows it to fit into tight farming spaces where larger dinos cannot go. It can be carried by Argentavis or Quetzal for aerial deployment to remote areas. The 8× bonus to Cactus Sap and Fiber supports early-game resource runs.
