The Ossidon gives live birth after mating, skipping the egg-incubation step entirely. Gestation takes approximately 7 hours and 56 minutes at default rates.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 20 hours (1x rate), progressing at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The Ossidon's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Ossidon gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Ossidon is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the DMG category.

The Ossidon has 1,430 base Health - extremely durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Ossidon has decent hitting power. Stamina sits at 420 base, providing solid stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it an enormous weight pool.

After taming, the Ossidon is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 60 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.89 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
