Megatherium Overview
In ARK: Survival Ascended, Megatherium occupies the harvester transport niche - pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. As an omnivore, it responds to knockout taming - favoring Superior Kibble - and ships with 725 base Weight, providing excellent carrying capacity. Reproduction is by live birth following gestation; juveniles mature over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. Survivors lean on it to gather Hide, Raw Meat, Pelt at much higher rates than hand tools. It earns its place in the stable for survivors looking to graduate from early-game tames.
