After a successful mate, the Megachelon lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between -75°C and 75°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby Megachelon matures over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game, reaching adulthood in about 3 days and 20 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Megachelon's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Megachelon gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Planning a mass raise? The Megachelon raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~556 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
Raising multiple Megachelon simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Megachelon, a tamable, omnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is well-known across multiple maps. It falls within the Soaker classification.
With 1,920 base Health, the Megachelon is among the tougher creatures. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Megachelon has respectable melee power. Stamina sits at 100 base, providing low stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 2500, giving it massive inventory space.
As a tame, the Megachelon combines solid harvesting capability with generous carrying capacity. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between -75°C and 75°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.74 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
