Manticore (Alpha) Overview
In ARK: Survival Ascended, Manticore (Alpha) is an arena-bound boss creature that puts a tribe's tames, gear, and tactics to a serious test. Manticore (Alpha) cannot be tamed through normal means and engages survivors with 160,000 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. As a flyer it shortens cross-map travel and opens scouting routes that ground mounts simply cannot reach. Beating it is a milestone unlock, gating tek progression for the tribes that can pull it off.
