Unlike knockout tames, the Manta must be fed by hand while conscious. Approach slowly and avoid sudden movements.

The Manta, a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a common sight across multiple maps. Classified under the Water group.
Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Manta brings decent hitting power to the table. At 320 base HP, the Manta is reasonably durable. Its base Stamina of 270 gives it decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 200, giving it a reasonable inventory size.
The Manta is passively tamed - approach it carefully and feed it by hand without knocking it out. Its preferred food is AnglerGel.
Once tamed, the Manta earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Killing a wild Manta yields 4 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.21 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
