Official servers currently have boosted rates! You don't need to change settings in our calculator.

Overview

The Manta is a passive-tame aquatic carnivore found in deep ocean and cave biomes. It reduces the weight of inventory items while providing a mobile underwater platform. Players tame it primarily for its ability to carry resources efficiently through water-based environments.

It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment across maps.

Spawn Locations

Manta spawns in ocean, deep-ocean, and cave biomes. It is very common and appears across 19 ARK maps. The highest spawn density is typically found in submerged cave systems and deep-sea trenches.

Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.

Damage Resistances

Manta has a strong weakness to Instant HurtDinos, taking +120% more damage. It is also highly vulnerable to Spike Walls and explosions, with +100% and +50% damage taken respectively. Conversely, it is fully immune to Mining Drill harvest damage and takes 50% less damage from projectiles with impact effects. Level Health and Melee Damage.
