Lymantria
To tame the Lymantria, you need to knock it unconscious first. Tranq Arrows, Tranq Darts, and Shocking Tranq Darts all work. The Lymantria loses Torpor at 0.1 per second while unconscious - stay on top of narcotics.

Check the taming results to see how long it takes to tame the Lymantria, what effectiveness you'll achieve, and how many bonus levels it gains. Better food means better results.
Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Lymantria sedated throughout taming. Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. With Torpor draining at 0.1/s, don't wait until the bar is nearly empty to apply narcotics.
The real-time timers below help you monitor Torpor drain and Food depletion during the tame. Starve taming is recommended for valuable high-level Lymantria: let the Food stat deplete first, then add food. This way nothing is wasted if something goes wrong.

The Lymantria, a tamable, flying, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a common sight across multiple maps. It belongs to the Flyer category.
With 260 base Health, the Lymantria is on the squishy side. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Lymantria brings respectable melee power to the table. With 150 base Stamina, the Lymantria has average stamina. A base Weight of 175 means modest carrying capacity.
Taming the Lymantria requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Regular Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
Once tamed, the Lymantria works well as a reconnaissance mount, offering fast travel and a bird's-eye view of the terrain. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 35°C and 38°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.15 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
The table below shows how many hits from each torpor weapon are needed to knock out the Lymantria at different levels. Always pace your shots. Torpor takes time to apply, and over-shooting can be lethal.
To simplify the knockout, immobilize the Lymantria first with Bola or Chain Bola.
