Ichthyosaurus
Calculate expected resource yield per node for any dino. Select a node type and harvester.
Each hit on a node generates resource drops. The game randomly picks a resource from the loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the node faster, which can reduce total drops. The "best" melee is where you get the most drops.
Compare dino harvest yields from creature corpses. Select a corpse and up to 3 harvesters to compare.
Each hit on a corpse generates resource drops based on damage dealt. The game randomly picks a resource from the corpse's loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the corpse faster, which can reduce total drops. All dinos get the same resource distribution from a given corpse - the difference is total drops from base damage.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Ichthyosaurus is a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Water classification.
With 100% base Melee Damage, the Ichthyosaurus has solid damage output. With 275 base Health, the Ichthyosaurus is not particularly tanky. Its base Stamina of 300 gives it average stamina. Weight capacity starts at 250, giving it good carrying capacity.
Taming the Ichthyosaurus doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Simple Kibble.
After taming, the Ichthyosaurus provides safe and efficient underwater traversal with good utility. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. A wild Ichthyosaurus is worth 4 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.66 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
