Gigantoraptor
Gigantoraptor is a land-based omnivore in ARK: Survival Ascended, is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Tamed via a special taming method, this omnivore enters service with 320 base Weight, providing generous inventory space. Breeding pairs lay fertilized eggs requiring 26°C–32°C incubation, after which juveniles reach adulthood requiring significant patience. Its harvest profile centers on Hide, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, making farming runs noticeably faster. Players target Gigantoraptor once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
Found across 21 maps in most regions of the map. Green zones have the highest spawn density. Each species has a population cap per area, so wiping out other creatures nearby can trigger new Gigantoraptor spawns.

To tame a Gigantoraptor, find a nest with an adult and baby. Distract the parent by throwing fertilized eggs at it, then hide in the nest with the baby. The baby will perform actions (spinning, bowing, flapping) — mimic the same action within 2-3 seconds to advance taming. Failing reduces progress. Keep the parent alive or the tame fails.
