The Gigadesmodus reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 80°C and 90°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~5 days and 12 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The Gigadesmodus's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~794 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~53h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~66h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Gigadesmodus gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The Gigadesmodus is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Flyer classification.

Its base Stamina of 750 gives it massive stamina reserves. Melee starts at 100% - decent hitting power that scales with level-ups. The Gigadesmodus has 1,450 base Health - extremely durable. Weight capacity starts at 600, giving it an enormous weight pool.

Once tamed, the Gigadesmodus excels at carrying heavy loads through the air, making base-to-base logistics much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 80°C–90°C temperature window. A wild Gigadesmodus is worth 18 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.98 Element plus 0.1 Element per level.
