Electrophorus
Calculate expected resource yield per node for any dino. Select a node type and harvester.
Each hit on a node generates resource drops. The game randomly picks a resource from the loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the node faster, which can reduce total drops. The "best" melee is where you get the most drops.
Compare dino harvest yields from creature corpses. Select a corpse and up to 3 harvesters to compare.
Each hit on a corpse generates resource drops based on damage dealt. The game randomly picks a resource from the corpse's loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the corpse faster, which can reduce total drops. All dinos get the same resource distribution from a given corpse - the difference is total drops from base damage.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Electrophorus is a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Water category.
Stamina sits at 165 base, providing average stamina. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Electrophorus brings solid damage output to the table. Health-wise, the Electrophorus sits at 180 base, making it not particularly tanky. It carries 150 base Weight - average weight tolerance.
Taming the Electrophorus doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Bio Toxin.
After taming, the Electrophorus provides safe and efficient underwater traversal with good utility. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between -75°C and 75°C. A wild Electrophorus is worth 8 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.13 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
