Dunkleosteus Egg & Breeding Calculator

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 10 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.

The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Raising a baby Dunkleosteus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~494 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~33h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~41h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Dunkleosteus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Dunkleosteus babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~494 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Dunkleosteus babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The Dunkleosteus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Farmer group.

Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 710 base Health, the Dunkleosteus is solidly tanky. With 200 base Stamina, the Dunkleosteus has decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 910, giving it excellent carrying capacity.

The Dunkleosteus is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Superior Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.

After taming, the Dunkleosteus is a practical workhorse - it can both gather and haul resources efficiently. Defeating one in the wild grants 12 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.43 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
