Overview
The DodoRex is a massive carnivore designed for high-damage combat and resource gathering. It excels at harvesting a wide range of resources with its powerful attacks, making it a top-tier utility mount. It can airlift smaller mounts such as Ankylosaurus or Castoroides in its claws for rapid deployment across the map.
Its combination of strength, gather efficiency, and cargo capability makes it ideal for base raids and long-range expeditions.
Spawn Locations
DodoRex does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming
DodoRex must be tamed through knockout. Use a Bow with Tranq Arrows or a Longneck Rifle with Tranquilizer Darts to sedate it. Immobilize it first with a Bear Trap, Large Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y.
The best food is Raw Prime Fish Meat. Raw Mutton also works well. About 44 units of Raw Prime Fish Meat are needed. The tame takes around 44 minutes. No Narcotics are required. Use the calculator below for your settings.
DodoRex is not tamable.
Damage Resistances
DodoRex takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making it highly vulnerable in defensive perimeters. It is also weak to explosions and melee attacks from metal weapons. It is fully resistant to fire-based structures and mining drills, taking no damage from them.
