Planning a mass raise? The Dinopithecus raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~556 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Dinopithecus babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Instead of laying eggs, the Dinopithecus carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 9 hours and 59 minutes at default rates.
After hatching or birth, the baby Dinopithecus matures over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game, reaching adulthood in about 3 days and 20 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Dinopithecus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Dinopithecus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Dinopithecus is a tamable, omnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Climber group.
Starting at 775 Health, it's quite durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Dinopithecus has decent hitting power. Stamina sits at 800 base, providing outstanding staying power. It carries 350 base Weight - a solid weight pool.
After taming, the Dinopithecus earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.68 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
