Higher melee depletes the corpse faster, which can reduce total drops. All dinos get the same resource distribution from a given corpse - the difference is total drops from base damage.
The Dimorphodon, a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a common sight across multiple maps. Classified under the Shoulder Pet group.
Health-wise, the Dimorphodon sits at 125 base, making it very frail. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Dimorphodon has decent hitting power. Stamina sits at 150 base, providing decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 50, giving it very limited carrying capacity.
You'll need to knock the Dimorphodon unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Raw Mutton - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
Once tamed, the Dimorphodon earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 35°C and 38°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.28 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
