After a successful mate, the Deinosuchus lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between 30°C and 34°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 2 hours and 29 minutes.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 20 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Deinosuchus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Deinosuchus. Budget ~556 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.
Raising multiple Deinosuchus simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Deinosuchus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Water classification.
With 300 base Stamina, the Deinosuchus has moderate endurance. Melee starts at 100% - decent hitting power that scales with level-ups. Health-wise, the Deinosuchus sits at 1,000 base, making it quite durable. It carries 600 base Weight - massive inventory space.
Once tamed, the Deinosuchus pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 30°C–34°C temperature window. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
