Carnotaurus
Taming the Carnotaurus requires applying enough torpor to knock it out. Use tranquilizer projectiles, then place food in its inventory. The Carnotaurus loses Torpor at 0.1 per second while unconscious - stay on top of narcotics.

Check the taming results to see how long it takes to tame the Carnotaurus, what effectiveness you'll achieve, and how many bonus levels it gains. Better food means better results.
Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Carnotaurus sedated throughout taming. Narcotics provide 40 Torpor each and are the standard choice. Bio Toxin offers 80 Torpor but is harder to farm. Narcoberries at 7.5 each are a last resort. The Carnotaurus bleeds 0.1 Torpor/s, so keep a close eye on the bar and sedate early.
Track the taming process with the timers below - they monitor both Torpor and starvation progress. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.
Use the knockout chart to see exactly how many Tranq Arrows, Darts, or other torpor weapons it takes to down the Carnotaurus. Wait between shots for torpor to tick up. Firing too fast can kill the creature before it goes down.
To simplify the knockout, immobilize the Carnotaurus first with Chain Bola or Bear Trap. Alternatively, use a Procoptodon to airlift it into a pre-built trap.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Carnotaurus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the DMG classification.
Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Carnotaurus brings respectable melee power to the table. With 420 base Health, the Carnotaurus is moderately tough. Stamina sits at 300 base, providing moderate endurance. It carries 300 base Weight - good carrying capacity.
Taming the Carnotaurus requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the Carnotaurus is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 26°C and 32°C. A wild Carnotaurus is worth 18 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.26 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
