Shoulder Pet · 14 maps
The Bulbdog is a small omnivore that functions as a shoulder pet. It passively tames and reduces weight for inventory resources when carried. This makes it ideal for resource runs where weight efficiency is critical.
It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Desmodus, Griffin, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Tropeognathus, Kaprosuchus, Procoptodon, Pteranodon, Quetzal, Tapejara, or Tusoteuthis for fast deployment.
Bulbdogs spawn in cave and fertile-zone biomes. They are uncommon and appear across 14 ARK maps. The green zones on the spawn map indicate the highest spawn density.

Killing a Bulbdog yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick favors Raw Meat.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
