Higher melee depletes the corpse faster, which can reduce total drops. All dinos get the same resource distribution from a given corpse — the difference is total drops from base damage.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Astral Direwolf is a carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Variant classification.

Starting at 6,400 Health, it's extraordinarily tanky. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Astral Direwolf brings solid damage output to the table. Stamina sits at 300 base, providing decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 300, giving it generous inventory space.

The Astral Direwolf cannot be tamed and must be dealt with through combat or avoidance. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Killing a wild Astral Direwolf yields 600 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.58 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
