Baby: The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
More about breeding the Andrewsarchus
The Andrewsarchus gives live birth after mating, skipping the egg-incubation step entirely. Gestation takes approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes at default rates.
The baby Andrewsarchus takes approximately 2 days and 9 hours to fully mature at default rates - requiring significant patience. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Andrewsarchus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~347 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~23h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~29h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Andrewsarchus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Andrewsarchus. Expect ~347 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Andrewsarchus raises by totaling food across all babies. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.
The Andrewsarchus is a tamable, omnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Wall Runner category.
The Andrewsarchus has 800 base Health - solidly tanky. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 400 base Stamina, the Andrewsarchus has respectable staying power. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it excellent carrying capacity.
After taming, the Andrewsarchus earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. A wild Andrewsarchus is worth 5 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.67 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
