  • I don't think the Tailings are very good at survival. I mean, they're better than us! They can digest the food and survive the heavy metals. But what I see here isn't the equivalent of a premodern Earth culture with a sophisticated survival package. It took the Inuit thousands of years to develop their seal hunting skills, and they almost got supernaturally good at it. By comparison, the Tailings seem...unpracticed.
  • Look at how much salvage they use. I don't think it's a preference, I think it's a dependence. They can't make basic tools like nets and cutters without it.
  • I think we're looking at the descendants of a sedentary, technological civilization. The children of a bunch of office workers and day trippers forced to learn wilderness survival from scratch.
  • Uh oh. Activity. I think they heard me talking. I've gotta move.
