O-039 is a ceramic doll in the shape of a girl with a height of around 1.3 meters and a weight of around 70 kilograms, wearing a red cotton dress. O-039's head is covered in a large brown paper bag (O-039-A) with two eye holes and cartoonish expressions drawn on with colored crayons. O-039 is empty inside. The object's face is damaged and missing, with a black void in the gap and many clear signs of damage around its body. Due to the object's personality and Deviation Effects, all attempts to investigate its interior have failed. O-039 has the intelligence of a ██-year-old human and appears well-educated. The object generally has a lively and gentle personality and is willing to help others. The object is nonverbal, but she can write and use body language to communicate with researchers. When O-039-A is removed from the object, the object becomes extremely distressed and will burst out in fierce aggression, attempting to chase, push, and scratch any human that can see it. O-039 is very weak. The object is unlikely to cause significant damage, and her blind attacks may end up harming her. However, due to the object's Deviation Trait, lingering around its presence is still rather dangerous. O-039's primary Deviation Trait is its cognitohazard: any human who can see the hole in the object's face will feel intense fear and attempt to escape from the object as quickly as possible until there is no way out. A small number of sensitive individuals may immediately fall into a coma, and in extreme cases, subjects have suffered sudden cardiac arrest. ​ When exposed to O-039's Deviation Trait, closing or covering one's eyes with one's hands has no effect. The object's optical image penetrates through biological tissue and results in the object always feeling "watched." Appendix: Identification of Deviation O-039's Effects Staring directly at O-039's face for ██ minutes or more results in irreversible neurological damage and cognitive distortions, including, but not limited to: ·Permanent loss of the ability to recognize human faces. ·Permanent facial nerve paralysis. ·Seeing black voids similar to O-039's face in place of human faces (including but not limited to real faces, pictures, and images). ·Seeing cracked textures similar to O-039's with viscous black liquid ("tears") flowing out of the cracks on other human faces.
