Yellow Lights are dangerous luminescent bugs that resemble a cross between a beetle and a wasp, having slender thoraxes and enlarged abdomens.
These abdomens are sodium-vapor lamps much larger than the lights of other luminescent bugs. Though clumsy in appearance, the lamps are actually ranged weapons far more dangerous than any stinger.
The wick of a Yellow Light's lamp consists of multiple arched tubes filled with mercury and sodium vapor. This complex structure houses a vast amount of energy that the Yellow Light can unleash as lethal sparks, each as powerful as a shot from a small-caliber rifle.
