Clad in steel mechanical armor and wielding thermal axes, they no longer reveal their true faces, for they are sworn to fight in Igna's name until the day chaos destroys the stagnant and decaying order of things.

Heavy armor is the expression of the Vanguard's inner strength. It is hard to tell if the armor is driven by its Chaosium engines or the hulking body within it.
Only select Vanguards can utilize deviant energy to power their thermal weapons - rays of subatomic chaos confined within blades of red-hot steel that reduce anything they touch to molten slag.
