This is one of the most disgusting and bizarre monsters to have emerged since the Starfall. Many survivors believe it to be a crime against nature itself.
The torso of the Chagas Weevil is held in mid-air by three strange hands, while a baby-like corpse hangs from its underbelly. In what can only be called the creature's 'front', an arm is attached to the neck, with appendages at the end of the arm that resembles a plant's stamens, but are in fact fingers.
As well as a bizarre appearance, this beast has an equally bizarre way of moving. Countless survivors have been killed by it - approach with extreme caution.
There was once a painter who narrowly escaped the clutches of a Chagas Weevil.
He was not physically wounded, but suffered some kind of psychological breakdown as a result. Not long after the encounter, the man began obsessively painting Deviants, ranting and raving about "becoming the new M. C. Escher" and "the need to capture the Deviants' geometric beauty."
The painter's friends and neighbors found all this highly unsettling, and before long they banished him from the settlement. He spent the rest of his life wandering the wilderness.
